Stacy Nelson

Stacy Nelson, 48, of Vidalia, formerly of Monticello, died Sunday, August 12, 2012 in Memorial Health University Medical Center in Savannah after a brief illness.

Mr. Nelson was a native of Jasper County and lived most of his life in Monticello before moving to Vidalia in 2002. He was an account representative for Century Payments and was a member of Summerville Masonic Lodge. He attended the Tabernacle Baptist Church in Vidalia and formerly attended Enon Baptist Church in Monticello.

Survivors include his wife, Pam Currie Nelson of Vidalia; two daughters, Maddie Nelson of Canton and Anna Rosenwald of Vidalia; a son, Patrick Rosenwald of Vidalia; his parents, Hugh and Marie Nelson of Monticello; a brother, Chad Nelson and wife, Stephanie, of Social Circle; paternal grandfather, Raymond Banks of Monticello; two nieces and three nephews.

A funeral service was held Tuesday at Ronald V. Hall Funeral Home in Vidalia. Revs. Bobby Thompson, Randy McDuffie, and Mike Shehee officiated.

A graveside service was to be held yesterday, Aug. 15, at 2 p.m. at West View Cemetery in Monticello, with Rev. Don Malcom officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Tabernacle Baptist Church Building Fund, P.O. Box 160, Vidalia, GA 30475.
