Young Man Is Killed in Wreck

Kyle Edward O’Kelley, 25, of Jackson was killed last Thursday morning in Jasper County as he was headed to work.

Mr. O’Kelley was traveling north on Jackson Lake Road near Cook Road when he apparently lost control of his 1998 Ford F-150. The truck began to rotate counterclockwise, then traveled 256 feet on the roadway, according to the report from the Georgia State Patrol.

The vehicle then left the roadway, and traveled another 115 feet on the shoulder, the report said. The driver was ejected from the vehicle, which continued to travel on the west shoulder of Jackson Lake Road coming to rest on its side.
