Lady Cougars Advance

Piedmont Academy’s softball team is back in the Final Four.

The Lady Cougars swept Briarwood 10-6 and 12-0 Thursday in Warrenton to reach the state semifinals.

Coach Danny Camp’s team will now face Randolph Southern tomorrow, Oct. 13 at noon in Dublin in a Final Four match-up at noon.

Crisp Academy and Flint River are also in the Final Four for Class AA. Games will be played at Southern Pines Regional Park in a double elimination format. The state championship series will be Oct. 2.

Piedmont has now won 11 games in a row and 14 of their last 15. The Lady Cougars are 22-4 overall.
