JV Lady Cougars Finished Third in State

CROSS COUNTRY LADIES AT STATE MEET IN MACON

The Piedmont Academy junior varsity cross country teams competed in their final meet of the season last Wednesday at Stratford Academy in Macon.

Alina Jablonski finished fourth for the JV Lady Cougars with Emily Mills taking eighth place individually. Both earned medals for their performance. The JV Lady Cougars ran against 85 athletes at the event as the team finished third overall.

“Coach Alan Black and I were both extremely proud of all of the JV runners, especially the JV girls,” said coach Traci Brady.

“They have worked really hard this season and we are expecting great things from this team in the future. The boys had a great season as well. We hope to have a few more come out for the program next year so we can compete as a team in the future.”

The Piedmont Academy varsity cross country teams were scheduled to compete at their region meet Wednesday in Rome.
