Busy Days Ahead Here

Jasperites will be busy during the next couple of weeks, with Hurricane homecoming this Friday, Haunticello next Wednesday, the Deer Festival on Saturday, Nov. 3, the election on November 6, and Veteran’s Day November 11.

The Monticello News will publish a special section in the newspaper next week for Deer Festival, and the following week for the Veterans. Any photos to be added to the veterans’ section should be submitted as soon as possible, but definitely no later than Friday, Nov. 2.

In addition, photos for The Monticello News nature photo contest sponsored by Jordan Funeral Home must be submitted by the close of business Thursday, Nov. 8.

Advertisements, deer stories, and other items for inclusion in the Deer Festival section is tomorrow, Oct. 26. Deer photos will be taken until 5 p.m. Monday, Oct. 29 in person or by e-mail.
