Erin Roper Wins Contest With 13 Correct

Erin Roper of Monticello was the only contest player to correctly guess 13 out of the 15 sponsored games correctly this week, picking up a $25 prize from Vickie Sheppard and Dr. Jasleen K. Sohal at Primary Care Center of Monticello.
Ms. Roper, an avid Georgia Tech fan was presented the prize on Monday from two Florida Gator fans.
The contest deemed difficult this week with Ms. Roper and only five additional players having their names added to the Honor Roll. Those with 12 right were Dan K. Roberts, Michael Roper, Kyle Gaston, Rusty Pittman; and Madison Rae.
The biggest upset, as football fans know, was that of Texas A&M defeating #1 ranked Alabama on Saturday. There were only three contest players to choose Texas A&M to come out on top, and Ms. Roper was not one of those.

The pro picks proved again to cause most contest players to falter, with one of the largest disappointments being Atlanta’s loss to New Orleans.
There are still three weeks left for those who have yet to make the honor roll to be entered for a chance for four tickets to the Chick-fil-a Bowl game at the Georgia Dome. So contest players sharpen your pencils, and have your contest entry forms to The News by 5 p.m. tomorrow, Nov. 16 for a chance to pick up a prize from Kelly Fox, with Northwestern Mutual Insurance.
