Newspaper Will Publish Early for Thanksgiving

Next Thursday, Nov. 22 is Thanksgiving, when most businesses and offices close for a day of rest and thankfulness. Post offices will be closed.

Therefore, The Monticello News will publish one day early next week, so local subscribers will receive their papers in their mailboxes on Wednesday, Nov. 21.

Because of that, all news items, advertisements, photos, etc. to be included in next week’s paper need to be submitted no later than tomorrow, Nov. 16. Late news items will be taken Monday morning, but those items will be limited.

Jasper County offices will close Thursday and Friday, however banks, post offices, Monticello Drugs, and others will be closed Thursday only.
