Four Wheeler Is Stolen From Man’s Back Yard

On November 13, the Jasper County Sheriff’s Office (JCSO) investigated the reported theft of a new Kawasaki 750 four-wheeler, described as having knobby tires, gray racks and a black bush guard. The alleged theft took place from the back yard of a residence on Hwy. 142 in Newborn, after a cable type lock system was cut.

Four other reports of criminal activity reported by the JCSO during the period of November 10 through November 18 are listed below:

•On November 18, a resident on Hwy. 16 west reported that his home had been burglarized, however, the report did not list any items as having been taken.

•On November 16, a resident on Meadows Road in Shady Dale reported the theft of the heating coil from a heat pump.

•On November 12, a resident on Templeton Circle in Mansfield reported the theft of a Hewlett Packard lap top computer.

•On November 10, the owner of a private hunting camp on Juliette Road in south Jasper County reported the November 5 theft a Stealth trail camera, a Moultrie trail camera and a two-piece climbing stand.

Also, during the period of November 13-19 the JCSO reported the following arrests:

•Cody Allen Dotter, 18, Monticello—probation violation.

•Wilburn, Lee Knight, 38, Monticello—probation violation.

•Brandon Jacob Williamson, 26, Eatonton—criminal damage to property in the second degree.

•Deborah Celeste Livers, 56, Monticello—probation violation.

•Robert Louis Crowe, 37, Covington—disorderly conduct.

•Tracy Michelle Fincher, 36, Covington—reckless driving, criminal trespass and reckless conduct.

•Robert Curtis Rowe, 36, Mansfield—reckless conduct.

•Terry Nolan Hall, 46, Covington—bench warrant for failure to appear.

During this same time period deputies with the JCSO responded to 120 calls for service including 28 stopping suspicious person/vehicle, 10 each subject needs officer and accident, eight alarm, seven assist motorist, six pick up prisoner/subject, five theft by taking, four threatening/harassing calls.

Also, three each escort or convoy and mechanical break down, two each burglary, domestic, speeding auto, be on the look out, shortness of breath, four wheeler, juvenile complaint and trouble unknown, one each dog disturbance, livestock on road, intoxicated driver, fire/vehicle, mental person, assault, missing person, extra patrol, child custody case, discharge firearms, dead on arrival, stabbing music/noise complaint, vandalism of property, argument and 911 hang up.

The Monticello Police Department did not report any arrests during this time period, however, they did report responding to 33 calls for service including 14 stopping suspicious person/vehicle, two each subject needs officer, juvenile complaint and mechanical break down, one each alarm, domestic, accident, intoxicated driver, escort or convoy, theft by taking, mental person, be on the look out, utility department needed, miscellaneous ems, trouble unknown, music/noise complaint and argument.
