Photo In Paper Results in Arrest
Jerry Wayne East and Margaret Jean East, both of a Jackson address, were arrested last week and charged with burglary in connection with an incident that occurred July 20, 2012 at a hunting camp on Felton McMichael Road.
At that time, as reported in The News on July 26, a trail camera took pictures of the two as they broke into a trailer and took food items and a trailer tire. The publication of the picture and a reward offered by the owner of the hunting camp resulted in the recognition of Mr. and Ms. East, and their subsequent arrest, as reported by the Jasper County Sheriff’s Office (JCSO). They have since posted bond and been released from the Jasper County Jail.
Also, during the period of November 20-27 the JCSO reported the following additional arrests:

•Nicholas Standifer, 23, Monticello—probation violation.
•Donrico M. Smith, 20, Covington—simple battery.
•Randall Crys Hubbard, 32, Jenkinsburg—disorderly conduct.
•Christopher E. Head, 35, Monticello—disorderly conduct.
•Tiffany Michelle Tripp, 27, Monticello—mandatory education of minors.
•Charles David Perry, 36, Hillsboro—hold for warrant in Fulton County.
•Tina Marie Motes, 40, Florida—theft by taking.
•Michael Andrew Motes, 35, Florida—theft by taking.
During this same period deputies with the JCSO responded to 107 calls for service including 38 stopping suspicious person/vehicle.
During the above mentioned period the Monticello Police Department (MPD) did not report any arrests, however, during this period officers with the MPD responded to 74 calls for service.
