Jerry Ralph Whidby, Jr.

Jerry Ralph Whidby, Jr., died Thursday, Nov. 22.

Mr. Whidby was born July 29, 1956 to the late Jerry Ralph Whidby, Sr. and the late Annie Carrie Goolsby Whidby.

Mr. Whidby attended Jasper County High School where he ran track. He also attend Job Corp. in Albany. He was also a concrete finisher in the family business.

A brother, Johnny Whidby preceded him in death.

Survivors include, a wife, Anna Louise Jackson Whidby of Louisville, KY; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Tony and Vlanda Whidby of Jackson, and James and Darlene Whidby of Monticello; three sisters, Lillie Mae Hardwick, Annette Whidby Carter, both of Monticello, and Janet and Ulysses Smith of Fayetteville, NC.

Also, three uncles, five aunts, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends; and a special friend, Otis Gude.

A service was held, Wednesday, Nov. 28 at Spring field Baptist Church in Monticello. Reverend Jimmy Horton, officiated. Interment was in King’s Chapel Cemetery in Hillsboro.

Smith and Sons Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
