Burglaries Are Reported
According to the Jasper County Sheriff’s Office (JCSO) the following criminal incidents occurred in Jasper County during the period of December 11 through December 17.
Anyone with information concerning any of the incidents listed below are encouraged to call the JCSO at 706-468-4912, or use the anonymous tips line at 706-468-JCSO:
•On December 17 the owner of a lot on Biltmore Road in Mansfield reported a burglary with no details of any items taken.
•On December 15 a resident on Hwy. 16 west reported someone entering an auto and damaging the passenger door.
•On December 14 the owner of a rental property on Blue Heron Drive in Rolling Wood Cove reported a forced entry with no details.
•On December 13 a resident on Hwy 16 east reported the theft of a four month old pit bulldog.
•On December 11 the owner of a property on Post Road in Shady Dale reported the theft of a beige and burgundy Ford Mustang.
•On December 11 the owner of a vacant property on Blue Heron Drive in Rolling Wood Cove reported burglary with no details.
Also, during the period of December 11-18 the JCSO reported the following arrests:
•Amber Jade Grizzard, 18, Monticello—hindering apprehension or punishment of a criminal, violation and possession of alcohol by a minor and taillight violation.
•Kenneth Anthony Thurman, 49, Monticello—probation violation.
•Lisa Marie McNerney, 31, Covington—probation violation.
•Douglas Cocchi, 65, Monticello—civil contempt order.
•Marari Tripp, 54, Monticello—simple battery, interfering with 911 call and cruelty to children in the third degree.
During this same period deputies with the JCSO reported responding to 119 calls for service, include 21 stopping suspicious person/vehicle.
The Monticello Police Department (MPD) reported no arrests during the last two reporting periods (December 4-18), however, during the period of December 11-18 it was reported that officers responded to 62 calls for service including 27 stopping suspicious person/vehicle.
