Several Are Arrested
During the period of Christmas Day, December 25 to December 31, the Jasper County Sheriff’s Office (JCSO) reported the following arrests:
•Jonathan Allen Wheeler, 29, Monticello—driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs and duty of driver to stop at or return to scene of an accident.
•Thomas David Smith, 24, Covington—probation violation.
•Jorda Jontavious Clements, 22, Covington—driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs and probation violation.
•Robert Edward Lanier, 49, Jackson—probation violation.
•Arrico Martell Williams, 25, Newborn—probation violation.
•Maynard Elroy Tatzel, 37, Monticello—simple battery.
•Michelle Lynn Hart, 43, Monticello—battery.
•Nichole Lee Lewis, 25, Milledgeville—possession of meth, possession of dangerous drugs and possession of Schedule IV drugs.

During this same period deputies with the JCSO reported responding to 100 calls for service including 16 stopping suspicious person/vehicle, 12 alarm, 10 each subject needs officer and road hazard, four each accident, pick up prisoner/subject and threatening or harassing calls, three each assist motorist, livestock on road, theft by taking, and child custody case, two each domestic, laceration, four wheeler, trouble unknown and music/noise complaint, one each dog disturbance, burglary, speeding auto, courtesy ride, escort or convoy, mechanical break down, mental person, shortness of breath, child abuse/molestation, deliver emergency message, extra patrol, electrical wires down, discharge firearms, dead on arrival, vandalism of property, abandoned vehicle, attempt to serve warrant and utility department needed.
During this same period the Monticello Police Department (MPD) reported
•Senior Lynwood, Sr. 52, Monticello—obstruction of an officer, cruelty to children, child support and disorderly conduct.
•Terry Lee Lynch, 47, Monticello—disorderly conduct and criminal trespass.
•Jennifer Yvette Green, 36, Monticello—possession of marijuana less than one ounce, operation of vehicle without current plate, suspended registration and no insurance.
Also, during this period officers with the MPD reported responding to 44 calls for service including 12 stopping suspicious person/vehicle, five subject needs officer, four alarm, three escort or convoy, two each fight, accident, shoplifter, vandalism of property and argument, one each domestic, assist motorist, fire, laceration, heart attach, trouble unknown, threatening/harassing calls, road hazard, seizure and persons refuse to leave.
In addition, during the subject period the Georgia State Patrol reported the following two arrests:
•Rasheed Chavez Tripp, 19, Monticello—speeding, license to be carried or exhibited on demand and possession of marijuana less than one ounce.
•Robert Leroy Halliday, 36, Monticello—driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs and failure to maintain lane.
