DRIVER LIFE-FLIGHTED

Lifeflight had to be called for the driver of this Nissan that flipped on Hwy. 212 west near Frank’s Restaurant Monday. The driver was entrapped in her vehicle after it came to rest on its side against a tree alongside the road in a resident’s yard.

A passenger in the car was able to escape, but was also injured, according to witnesses, and was taken by ambulance to a medical facility. Emergency Medical Personnel and First Responders turned out to help the victims, but the injuries were such that they needed to be transported.

Chief deputy Larry Mooney, and deputies Billy Bryant, Amantae Sands and Johnny Kent also responded, but the accident was worked by an officer with the Georgia State Patrol. No report had been filed in the GSP office as of Wednesday noon, and the trooper had not returned the call from the paper. We apologize that no names are available.
