’Cane Boys Middle School Basketball Finishes 13-3

After finishing tied for first in the PAC Middle School League, the boy’s middle school basketball team traveled to Youth Middle School for the end of the year tournament where they defeated Loganville in the first round and were edged out by Putnam in the semi-finals.

Coach Yelberton Frasier said this was one of the best records that the middle school team has had in recent history. Coach Rufus Whitlock and Coach Tyrone Dennis complimented the team members on their hard work and dedication during the season.

Shakur Sands (pictured above) was picked for the 2013 All-Star Team for this year and was honored at the championship game. He is pictured above making a layup in a photo taken by Rick Crumbley.
