Judith Constance Fore

Judith Constance Fore, 88, died Monday, Feb. 25, 2013, at the Wellstar Paulding Nursing Center in Dallas, Ga.

“Judy” Fore was born in Hazel Green, Ala. on March 14, 1924. Her parents were the late Virgil Bailey Fore and Dovie Lee Bates Fore.

Ms. Fore worked as a Registered Nurse at the Veterans Administration “VA” Hospital in Nashville, Tenn. for approximately 25 years. She returned to Monticello to take care of her mother and sister and transferred to the Veterans Administration Hospital in Decatur, where she retired. Ms. Fore was an active member of Smithboro Baptist Church and served as the church treasurer for a number of years. She was a member of the Nurses’ Association, a bowling league, and she loved to garden. Along with her parents, Judy was preceded in death by her sisters, Agnes Fore Jordan, Alda O. Fore, and Clarice Fore.

Survivors include her brother and sister-in-law, Truitt M. and Camilla Brittain Fore of Knoxville, Tenn.; sister, Ethelind Fore Lindsey of Dallas; seven nieces; two nephews; several great nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, Feb. 28, 2013, at 2 p.m. at the chapel of Jordan Funeral Home. Interment will be held in West View Cemetery. Rev. Troy Lindsey will officiate.

Pallbearers will be Linton McKnight, Donnie Moore, Casey Hayes, Tom Dotzenrod, Phillip Fisher, and Christopher Fisher.

The family will receive friends from Wednesday, Feb. 27, 2013, from 4 until 6 p.m. at Jordan Funeral Home.

The family suggests in lieu of flowers donations be made to Smithboro Baptist Church, 314 Smithboro Road, Monticello, GA 31064.
