Piedmont Tennis Is Set for Spring

Piedmont Academy’s tennis players are currently working for the 2013 opener as well as the new season.

Piedmont will host Bethlehem Christian Academy Tuesday at 4 p.m. Home matches are played at Turtle Cove Country Club.

“We have nine regular season matches,” said coach Sarah Wagnon. “I think we’re all looking forward to having a lot of fun this season and to improve our tennis skills.”

Members of the Lady Cougar team for this spring include seniors Dallas Fletcher, Brittany Germany, Clare Maloney and Brittnee Phillips. Juniors are Katie Brennan and Savannah McGinnis.

Senior Drew Collins and junior Britton Bailey will compete for the Piedmont boys.

Following the season opener, Piedmont will host LaGrange in first Region 4-AA match of the new campaign.
