Piedmont Tennis Battles Flint River
The Piedmont Academy tennis players have battled the weather conditions almost as much as their opponents on the court this spring.
Piedmont traveled to Flint River Academy last week as Britton Bailey played No. 1 and No. 2 doubles, winning both matches for the boys. For the Lady Cougars, Brittany Germany fell 8-6 at No. 1 singles in what coach Sarah Wagnon described as a “long and close match.”
Savannah McGinnis also posted a win in singles competition 8-6. The Lady Cougars fell at No. 1 and No. 2 doubles. The boys did not play doubles since a team member was not at the match.
Piedmont will travel to Arlington today, March 21 at 4 p.m. for a region match.
