Piedmont Track Competes at Brentwood

Logan Partenza earned an individual first place and helped the Piedmont Academy 4×400-meter relay team take first during a meet at Brentwood March 27.

Partenza won the 400-meter dash and then teamed with Barrett Whitaker, Hank Strickland and Gaven Edge to win the relay event.

In addition, Strickland, Britton Bailey, Partenza and Whitaker were third in the 4×100-meter relay.

Whitaker was also fourth in the 100-meter dash while Strickland was fourth in the 400-meter event.

For the Lady Cougars, Heather Tyler finished third in the 1,600-meter run while Emily Hammonds was third in the 200-meter dash.

Amelia Dodson was sixth in the 100-meter dash and teamed with Hammonds, Abby Hyde and Tyler to finished sixth in the 4×100-meter relay.

Piedmont will return to action Wednesday, April 10, when the track teams will compete once against at Brentwood in Sandersville.
