PULLING

Nearly 1,000 people turned out at the Shady Dale rodeo grounds Saturday for the annual FFA antique tractor and truck pull.

There were 60 tractor hooks to the sled and 53 truck hooks, said Robert Cobb, FFA advisor. The event is put on by the FFA alumni, and benefits the local FFA organization.

Mr. Cobb is the ag teacher at Jasper County High School. A list of winners or the amount of money raised was not available from Mr. Cobb this week.

The FFA plant sale was held this week at the school, but was to end yesterday.
