Busy SCA Knights Win Three, Lose Two

The Shiloh Christian Academy (SCA) baseball Knights have won three out of five of their last outings against various opponents.
The Knights lost a close game to Peachtree Academy, 10-6 Monday with Micah Compton having a good day at the plate going 3-3.
The Knights jumped out to an early 1-0 lead in the top of the first. M. Compton singled to ignite Shiloh’s offense. After pushing across five runs in the top of the sixth, SCA faced just a 10-6 deficit. An RBI single by M. Compton and a two-run single by Sam Mitchell fueled SCA to make a comeback, however, Will Mitchell hit a fly ball for the final out of the game.
On the mound, Parker Wyatt pitched 2.1 innings, walked 6 and struck out 3. Caleb Compton pitched 2.2 innings, walked 3 and struck out 4.

Mitchell earned 2 RBIs, Justin Nelson and M. Compton each earned 1.
The Knights took on Central Fellowship last Saturday, and dominated their opponents 11-2.
Wyatt racked up 3 RBIs on two hits for SCA when he tripled in the first and doubled in the fifth inning.
Mitchell brought home eight strikeouts during the game for SCA and only allowed one earned run on two hits and three walks over five innings.
Offensively, Ady Dahod added three hits for the Knights recording 3 RBIs. and M. Compton added two hits and Justin Nelson had two RBIs.
SCA won 15-1 over Lake Oconee Academy last Monday, with C. Compton having a great game both offensively and defensively.
C. Compton racked up six RBIs on three hits for SCA. He singled in the first inning, tripled in the fourth inning, and doubled in the sixth inning.
On the mound, C. Compton struck out nine, paving the way for the win. He also allowed no earned runs, only two hits and one walk over six innings.
An RBI single by C. Compton, an RBI single by Justin Nelson, and a steal of home by C. Compton during the first inning helped SCA put some runs on the board early.
SCA piled on four more runs in the top of the fourth. C. Compton started the inning with a triple, plating Riley Young, M. Compton and Wyatt.
SCA increased its lead with five runs in the sixth. C. Compton doubled, plating Jesse Burton, who got his first hit of the season, and Wyatt to start the inning. That was followed up by Dahod’s single, scoring M. Compton.
SCA also won over Central Fellowship April 2, 22-12.
SCA scored 15 runs in the first three innings fueling the win. An RBI single by Nelson, a two-run double by S. Mitchell, an RBI single by Jeremiah Hicks, and a fielder’s choice during the first inning and an RBI double by Dahod, a two-run double by S. Mitchell, and an RBI single by Will Mitchell in the second inning were the key players for the win.
Dahod racked up four RBIs on four hits for the Knights. Wilson also had four hits.
S. Mitchell got it done on the mound allowing only three runs over three innings. S. Mitchell struck out six, walked three and gave up three hits.
The Knights took a loss earlier this month when they lost to Griffin Christian 14-4 on April 1.
C. Compton led the hitting against Griffin and went 2-3 and scored one run. He singled in the second inning and doubled in the third inning.
C. Compton was also on the mound for the Knights and held Griffin Christian hitless over 2 1/3 innings. He allowed only one earned run, walked three and struck out one.
The Knights are scheduled to play at Gatewood, today, April 18 and play Strong Rock Christian at home, Monday, April 22.
