David Wease Is Elected Councilman

David Wease beat incumbent Randy Strozier for the District 2, Post 2 City Council seat in Monticello in a municipal election Tuesday.

Mr. Wease received 122 total votes, and Mr. Strozier received 89.

In addition, in Shady Dale, Larry Champion was elected mayor, to replace Don Heaton, who did not seek re-election as he is relocating.

No other local races were affected by Tuesday’s vote.
