Virginia McAdams Larman
Virginia McAdams Larman, 71, of Monticello, died Wednesday, Nov. 20, 2013, at Gentiva Hospice-Emory University in Atlanta.
Mrs. Larman was born in Rutledge, to the late Walton Page McAdams and Mary Leila Shepherd McAdams. She and her late husband, Harold Sammy Larman moved to Monticello 46 years ago to farm. She was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church. She enjoyed farming, but most of all, she loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Survivors include her daughters and sons-in-law, Beth and John Miller and Carol and Lee Carnes, all of Monticello; grandchildren, Bethany Carnes, Grant Miller, Sarah Carnes, Kate Miller, Pate Carnes, and Rachel Carnes; and sisters and brother, Page Bryans and Carolyn Johnston of Newborn, and Anita Johnston and John McAdams of Rutledge.
Funeral services will be held Friday, Nov. 22, 2013, at 3 p.m. at Shiloh Baptist Church in Newborn. Interment will be held in Shiloh Baptist Church Cemetery. Rev. Danny Sorrells and Dr. Randal Reese will officiate.
Pallbearers will be Russell Johnston, Warren Bryans, Jack Welch, Neil Prewett, Mark Larman, and Craig Prewett.
The family will receive friends Thursday, Nov. 21, 2013, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Jordan Funeral Home.
