Winner Gets 14 Right

LAURA TYLER PRESENTS PRIZE TO BOBBIE JEAN OZBURN

Tracy Nelson who works in the operations center at the Bank of Monticello is the winner of the final football contest of the year, and collected a $25 prize from Hamilton State Bank for her effort.

Ms. Nelson was called away from work after scheduling the photo, so Bobbie Jean Ozburn (right) collected her prize for her from Laura Tyler at Hamilton.

As a matter of fact, Mrs. Ozburn also filled out Ms. Nelson’s entry. Normally Ms. Nelson does it herself, she said, but she was out of the office Friday so she called her picks into Mrs. Ozburn who wrote the winners out for her and faxed it to The Monticello News.

Ms. Nelson said she does not get help from any of the long time contest players at the bank. They might should get help from her. She was already on the honor roll, and she was the only player to correctly guess the winners in as many as 14 of the games listed last week. The only one she missed was Philadelphia’s trouncing of Detroit.

So, now all that’s left is the grand prize drawing. And that will be held next Thursday, Dec. 19, at noon. One lucky winner who has made the honor roll will have his or her name drawn to win four tickets to the Chick-Fil-A Bowl in Atlanta on New Year’s eve to watch Duke and Texas A&M fight it out.

So, contest players, double check the accompanying honor roll and make sure your name is there the right number of times. If you see a discrepancy, please contact The News, 706-468-6511, as soon as possible so we can have an accurate list. We want to be sure that everyone who deserves a chance, has one. The honor roll is on page 7.
