Probation Violator Sentenced to 180 Days
In Superior Court Tuesday, January 7, with Judge Hulane E. George, presiding, Jeffrey Olice Lake, who was serving a 12 month probation sentence as a result of pleading guilty to stalking, criminal trespass, simple battery and interfering with a 911 call this past October, was found to have violated his probation via the new charges of disorderly conduct and failure to pay court ordered fines and fees. Mr. Lake was sentenced to serve 180 days in the county jail, terminating the case thereafter.
Three other Probation Violation cases were also processed during this court date, with details as follows:
•Kyle Moring, who was on probation for a conviction on the charges of possession of cocaine with intent to distribute and possession of marijuana in May of 2009, was found to have violated his probation via the new charges of possession of marijuana less than one ounce (two counts) and battery. Mr. Moring was sentenced to serve 60-90 days in a probation detention center, to be suspended upon acceptance and completion of specific treatment.
•James Dean Kirby, who was on probation for the January 2013 conviction of the offense of reckless conduct, was found to have violated his probation via the new charges of failure to pay fines and fees, failure to report, battery/family violence and cruelty to children. Mr. Kirby was sentenced to serve 18 days in the county jail with credit for time served and the case be terminated thereafter.
•Rocky Delee, who was on probation for a conviction on the charge of theft by receiving stolen property in August of 2010, was found to have violated his probation via the new charges of giving false information to a law enforcement officer, failure to report, failure to report move, failure to pay fines and fees and not abiding by curfew. Mr. Delee was sentenced to serve 120-180 days in a probation detention center and upon release be returned to regular probation supervision.
