Walker “Dub” Williams, Jr.

A homegoing celebration of love for Walker “Dub” Williams, Jr., who died January 13, 2014 was held January 18 at St. James A.M.E. Church Rev. Dionna Marie Calix, pastor, officiated.

Mr. Williams was born April 15, 1947 in Monticello tothe late Walker Williams, Sr. and the late Mamie Lee Jordan Williams.

He attended Jasper County Training School and was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He was a self-employed mechanic that loved to help out.

He was preceded in edeath by a brother, Hollis Williams Sr.

Survivors include his sons, Walker Dewayne Williams and Demond Williams, both of Monticello, Rufus Thurman Jr. of Covington; a daughter, Tonia Thurman of McDonough; a sister, Charlotte Williams of Decatur; a brother, Nathaniel Williams Sr. of Monticello; seven grandchildren adna number of nieces nephes, family and friends.

Smith and Sons Funeral Home, Monticello, was in charge of arrangements.
