Man Sentenced to 10 Years on Meth Charge
Jackie Whiten Reagin pled guilty to possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute, possession of methamphetamine, possession of marijuana less than one ounce and driving without a license in Superior Court Tuesday, with Judge Hugh V. Wingfield, III, presiding.
Mr. Reagin was sentenced to 10 years with 240 days to be served in confinement and the remainder to be served on probation and fines and fees of $2,730.
Eleven other individuals pled guilty to charges as indicated below, and were sentenced as follows:

•Mathew Bryan Jackson to two counts of sale of methamphetamine—sentenced to six years with the first 240 days to be served in the county jail and the remainder on probation, and fines and fees of $2,780.
•Wayne Ellis Mask to possession of methamphetamine and possession of marijuana less than one ounce—sentenced to three years to be served on probation and fines and fees of $1,155.
•Rodriquez Deonta McGuire to sale of marijuana—sentenced to five years to be served on probation and fines and fees of $2,730.
•Alvin Glenn Yates to sale of marijuana—sentenced to five years to be served on probation and fines and fees of $2,730.
•Michael Eugene Couch to affixing of plate to conceal or misrepresent vehicle identity—sentenced to 12 months to be served on probation and fines and fees of $545.
•Marvin Davis, Jr., to giving false information to a law enforcement officer, driving while license suspended—sentenced to 12 months to be served on probation and fines and fees of $680.
•Alexandria Leigh Brooks to obstruction of an officer —sentenced to 12 months to be served on probation and fines and fees of $545.
•Michael O’Neal Lyons to public drunkenness—sentenced to 12 months to be served on probation and fines and fees of $545.
•Elizabeth Larue Johnson to possession of marijuana less than one ounce—sentenced to 12 months probation and fines and fees of $745.
•William Joseph Biddy, Jr., to possession of marijuana less than one ounce—sentenced to 12 months to be served on probation and fines and fees of $930.
•Bart Wesley Ray (plea was entered on January 14, 2014) to possession of drug related objects—sentenced to serve six months in the county jail
Twenty-seven other individuals pled not guilty to varying charges and will be scheduled for trial unless a plea bargain is struck prior to such time. Six other cases were continued and Bench Warrants were issued for the arrest of the following individuals who failed to appear to answer charges: Teresa Schwartz, Robert Allen Robinson, Dustin Lee Raynor, Michael La’Malcom Johnson, Quan Middlebrooks and Terry Durand Brown.
In addition, on this same date Judge Wingfield also presided over a Motion Day Court Calendar which processed six cases of probation violation, as follows:
•Jeremy Gower, who was on probation for conviction on the charge of burglary in May of 2011, was found to have violated the terms of his probation via the new charges of theft by shoplifting and public drunkenness. Mr. Gower was sentenced to serve 180 days in the county jail, suspended upon entry into a probation detention center for 60-120 days, with credit for time served since December 12, 2013.
•Darren Greer, who was on probation for conviction on the charge of theft by taking in May of 2011, was found to have violated the terms of his probation via the new charges of possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug related objects.
Mr. Greer was given 60 days to enter and complete six month to one year in a drug treatment center. Failure to do so will result in a 180 day sentence in the county jail, suspended upon entry into a residential substance abuse program and upon release return to regular probation.
•Maria Hutcheson, who was on probation for the conviction on the charges of possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug related objects and possession of marijuana in November of 2013, was found to have violated the terms of her probation via the new charges battery, cruelty to children in the second degree, obstruction of an officer and failure to pay fines and fees.
Ms. Hutcheson was sentenced to 30 days in the county jail with credit for time served since January 12, 2012, and upon release return to regular probation.
•David Nash, Jr., who was on probation for the conviction on the charges of possession of methamphetamine and theft by taking in February of 2012, was found to have violated his probation via the new charges testing positive for THC, failure to report, failure to pay fines and fees, failure to attend drug class and violation of curfew.
Mr. Nash was sentenced to 180 days in the county jail, suspended upon entry into a probation detention center for 150-180 days and upon release return to regular probation, also suspended upon payment of $1,000 and entering an outpatient drug treatment program.
•Bradley D. Parker, who was on probation for the conviction on the charge of family violence/battery in February of 2013, was found to have violated his probation via the new charges of failure to pay fines and fees and abuse of prescribed medication. Mr. Parker was sentenced to serve 189 days in the county jail, suspended upon entry into a state probation residential substance abuse program and upon completion return to regular probation.
•Twanna Lane, who was on probation for the conviction on four counts of the charge of forgery in the first degree, was found to have violated her probation via the new charges of theft by shoplifting and failure to pay fines and fees. Ms. Lane was released and given 60 days to pay $550.
Failure to do so she will be sentenced to serve 180 days in the county jail, suspended upon entry into a probation detention center for 60-90 days and upon release return to regular probation.
