Dwight Bernard Buckner

Dwight Bernard Buckner was born May 22, 1967 in Monticello, GA to the parentage of Patricia Ann Hunter and the late Charlie James Buckner.

A Celebration of Life for the late Mr. Buckner was held Tuesday, March 18, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. at Springfield Missionary Baptist Church, 837 Hillsboro Street, Monticello. Rev. Jimmy Horton, pastor gave the eulogy.

Dwight attended Monticello public schools and graduated from Jasper County Comprehensive High School with the Class of 1986.

Dwight was a humble person and always greeted you with a big smile. He was always willing to give a helping hand when and if needed. He had many friends of all ages.

He joined Springfield Missionary Baptist Church at an early age. For a period of time, he was employed at Georgia Pacific and Georgia Power.

Dwight went to be with his Master on March 12, 2014

Lovely memories of Dwight will be shared by his mother, two beautiful daughters, Shanta Pitts (John) and Tiana Griggs. six sisters, Darlene Buckner, Charlene Buckner, Patsy Clements and Vicky Crutchfield, all of Monticello, Cheryl Carter of McDonough, and Cynthia Murray of Atlanta; a brother, Kevin Jackson (Lois) of Monticello; two grandchildren, Josiah and Skylan Pitts.

Also, aunties, Mattie Awunee, Rosa Pearl Dozier, Margaret Hunter and Phyllis McElheney; uncles, Ruben Hunter (Stacey) and William Hunter, along with a host of nephews, nieces and other relatives and friends.
