Five Adults Are Arrested for Drugs

After several months of investigation, the Tactical Squad Team (TST) of the Jasper County Sheriff’s Office (JCSO) executed two separate search warrants last Friday, and discovered large amounts of marijuana and drug related items at each location, according to a spokesperson for the JCSO.
The first search warrant was executed at a residence on Turtle Cove Trailway where deputies found approximately one-quarter pound of marijuana packaged in various containers along with electronic scales. Arrested at the scene were the following two individuals who were charged as follows:
•Erik Michael Trent, 34, Monticello—sale of marijuana (three counts), possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, maintaining a disorderly house and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
•Joseph James Brickman, 17, Monticello—possession with intent to distribute marijuana.
Christina Joy Siebe of Monticello, was also arrested in this case, with the same charges as Mr. Trent.
In addition, three juveniles at the location were cited and released to their parents.
Approximately one hour later the TST executed the second search warrant at an apartment in the Monticello Estates complex where they found approximately one pound of marijuana in various sized bags. Arrested at the scene were the following two individuals who were charged as follows:
•Qwaniesha Zhnae’ Sands, 20, Monticello — possession with intent to distribute marijuana within 1,000 feet of a school.
•Oliver Northous Jackson, 26, Monticello—two counts of sale of marijuana within 1,000 feet of a school, possession of marijuana with intent to distribute and probation violation.

Two other criminal incidents reported by the JCSO are as follows.
•On March 16 a restaurant on North Warren reported the theft of currency and coins.
•On March 12 a resident on Blue Heron Drive in Alcovy Shores reported the theft of two different types of prescription drugs.
Also, during the period of March 11-18 the JCSO reported the following additional arrests:
•Bonnie Wade Sorrells, 57, Porterdale—Jasper County Probate Court Bench Warrant.
•Marlayna Chanise Cordell, 22, McDonough—probation violation.
•Malcom Jamal Smith, 23, Monticello—possession of marijuana with intent to distribute.
•Gary Leonard Shipman, 57, Monticello—probation violation and disorderly conduct.
•Kandy Annette Fite, 52, Monticello—theft by taking, criminal trespass and probation violation.
•Tiffany Amber Phillips, 23, Covington—Jasper County Magistrate Court Bench Warrant.
•Ezzard Mendall Williams, 34, Monticello—driving while license suspended or revoked.
•Kirby Grant Weaver, 55, Hampton—driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs and discharging a firearm while under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
•Emily Gail Medina, 24, Monticello—criminal trespass.
•Caresa Leonre Jackson, 32, Monticello—possession of marijuana.
•Mark Antonio Watson, 44, Monticello—possession and use of drug related objects, possession of cocaine and open container.
•Kenneth Grant Fox, 49, Hillsboro—hold for warrant in Butts County.
•Curtis Ray Snellgrove, 40, Swanee, FL—hold for warrant in Dixie County, Fla.
•Mary Ray Kirkby, Jr., 39, Social Circle—probation violation.
•Aaron David Michaels, 33, Roswell—probation violation.
During this same period deputies with the JCSO responded to 192 calls for service including 73 stopping suspicious person/vehicle, 26 checking location, 14 subject needs officer, 10 alarm, six each accident, attempt to serve warrant and mechanical break down, four each domestic and pick up prisoner.
Also, three each assist motorist, livestock on road, escort or convoy, discharge of firearms and road hazard, two each need assistance, theft by taking, welfare check, four wheeler, music/noise complaint, vandalism of property and argument, one each dog disturbance, burglary, direct traffic, fire, shortness of breath, domestic, juvenile complaint, trouble unknown, threatening/harassing calls, gas drive off, persons refuse to leave, abandoned vehicle, sick and sex offender check.
The Monticello Police Department did not report any arrests, however officers did respond to 67 calls for service including 12 escort or convoy, nine stopping suspicious person/vehicle and subject needs officer, four theft by taking, three alarm, two each domestic, mechanical breakdown, private property, music/noise complaint, vandalism of property and checking location, one each fight, courtesy ride, accident, hit and run, fire, shortness of breath, unconscious, juvenile complaint, entering auto, trouble unknown, threatening/harassing calls, road hazard, argument, sick, vgcsa and persons refuse to leave.
