FILMING

Filming around the Sac-O-Suds on Hwy. 16 west at Jackson Lake Road, made a mess of traffic Monday for people trying to get to and from Jackson or other places in the area.

The filming was an episode of the television show, Rectify, according to County Manager Karen Degges. No one on the scene would talk about the project.

The show is about a man imprisoned as a teenager for the rape and murder of his 16-year-old girlfriend, Hanna, according to Wikipedia. New DNA evidence vacates his original trial and he returns to his hometown of Paulie, Ga., after spending 19 years on death row.

The subsequent adjustments and events in the lives of the man, his extended family, and the townfolk are related as a character study in a slowly unfolding Southern Gothic story, according to Wikipedia. It airs on Sundance TV.
