William Conrad Campbell

William Conrad Campbell, age 70, of Monticello, died Tuesday, May 13, 2014, at Newton Medical Center in Covington.

William Campbell was born in Canton, Illinois to the late William Mahlon Campbell and Ruth Greene Campbell. He lived in Florida for a number of years before moving to Georgia in 1980. He served in the U. S. Army during the Vietnam Conflict. Before retirement, he was an electrician for the Florida Power and Light Company. He was preceded in death by sister, Shirley Comstock; and brother, Sanford Campbell.

He is survived by his wife, Christine Leidy Campbell of Monticello; son, Cody Sanford Campbell of Monticello; daughter, Heather Campbell of Boynton Beach, Florida; granddaughter, Chelsea Nicole Bethea; nephews and niece, Michael Campbell, Mark Campbell, and Kelly Pankowski; and cousins, Julie Boyd of Athens, Isaac Billue of High Falls, and Jared Ellenwood of Fort Irwin, California.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
