Grand Jury Returns 22 True Bills

A Jasper County Grand Jury indicted Emmanuel Togba on the charge of rape, aggravated sodomy and three counts of incest, when it convened this week.

According to evidence presented to the Grand Jury the incidents took place during August, 2011.

An indictment by the Grand Jury is not an indication of guilt, but rather that sufficient evidence was presented to take the person charged to trial at a future date unless a plea bargain is arrived at prior to such date.

A listing of other indictments issued by the Grand Jury are as follows:

•Michael Shaine Smith on possession of meth, two counts of theft by receiving stolen property and 10 counts of forgery in the second degree.

•David Tinsley, Jr., on sale of cocaine, possession of a schedule II controlled substance with intent to distribute, tampering with evidence and two counts of sale of cocaine.

•Mendall Williams on two counts of sale of cocaine.

•Quaniesha Z. Sands to possessing a controlled substance near schools, possession of marijuana with intent to distribute and possession of marijuana more than one ounce.

•Oliver Norethous Jackson to two counts of possession a controlled substance near schools and two counts of sale of marijuana.

•Erik M. Trent to three counts of sale of marijuana, possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, contributing to delinquency of a minor and keeping a disorderly house.

•Christina J. Siebe to possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, contributing to delinquency of a minor and keeping a disorderly house.

•Joseph J. Brickman to possession of marijuana with intent to distribute.

•Mary Lue Cox and Matthew D. Cox to possession of a schedule II controlled substance with intent to distribute, possession of a schedule IV controlled substance and possession of marijuana less than one ounce.

•Malcom J. Smith to possession of marijuana with intent to distribute and driving on improper registration.

•Kathleen Farrell Matthews to two counts of possession of meth, two counts of possession of marijuana less than one ounce, theft by receiving stolen property, possession of meth and two counts of hindering apprehension of a criminal.

•Jessie Lee Hardeman to two counts of possession of meth, two counts of possession of marijuana less than one ounce and theft by receiving stolen property.

•Adam Lee Phillips to possession of meth, possession of marijuana less than one ounce, possession of drug related objects, obstruction of an officer and theft by taking.

•Camilla Head to possession of meth, possession of marijuana less than one ounce and possession of drug related objects.

•Camilo Barranco to child molestation and driving with expired license.

•Charles Wayne Sanders to possession of meth with intent to distribute, possession of met and theft by receiving stolen property.

•Mark Fisher, Jr., to criminal attempt to commit a felony, terroristic threats, battery/family violence, battery, criminal trespass and cruelty to children in the third degree.

•Daniel Lee Bradshaw to manufacture of marijuana, possession of drug related objects and tampering with evidence.

•Johnny Michael Herrington to theft by receiving stolen property, fleeing or attempting to elude a police officer, use of license plate to conceal identity and driving while license suspended.

•Calvin H. Ledford to criminal attempt to commit enticing a child for indecent purposes.

•Andre Etienne Prevost to possession of a schedule I controlled substance with intent to distribute and possession of drug related objects.

•Taylor Meagan Jones to possession of meth with intent to distribute and possession of a schedule IV controlled substance with intent to distribute.

•Wilbur Richard White to theft by taking and criminal damage to property in the second degree.

•Demarcus Sands to criminal damage to property in the second degree, simple assault and criminal trespass.

•Jaylin Thurman to criminal damage to property in the second degree, simple assault, felony obstruction of an officer and criminal trespass.

•Walker Dewayne Williams to aggravated assault, pointing gun or pistol at another, obstruction of an officer and public drunkenness.

•Roderick Carter to four counts of possession of controlled substances near schools and/distribution/possession of dangerous drugs.

•Qiana Manning to possession of controlled substances near schools and sale/distribution/possession of dangerous drugs.

•Reymond Sands to battery/family violence.

Also, a No Bill (not enough evidence presented to indict) to statutory rape was returned on Taylor Westbrooks.
