Several Have Probation Revoked

Judge Hugh V. Wingfield, III presided over Jasper Superior Court during Tuesday’s motion day which resulted in probation revocation for seven defendants.

•Marvis Wyman was sentenced to 90 days in the Jasper County jail after having his probation revoked from May 18, 2014 for a battery and criminal trespass charge. Since that time court documents state that he failed to attend and complete community service, make regular payments, and additional received new charges of public drunk and criminal trespass on May 25.

•William Chitwood was sentenced to 180 days in the county jail with a suspension upon entry into a probation detention center for 60-90 days. Mr. Gilmer received probation following a DUI offense August 9, 2013 in Gilmer County and followed that offense with another DUI on May 15, 2014 in Union County.

•Richard Wayne Causey was sentenced to 180 days in jail with suspension to pay $150 per week until all fines and fees paid. His revocation stemmed from a theft by taking charge on April 2, 2013 for which he failed to report to probation and pay fines.

•David Spencer Pickett will serve 110 days in county jail for failing to report to probation and pay fines for a September 9, 2012 theft by receiving offense.

•Brandon Herndon received 180 days in the county jail, suspended until entry into a probation detention center for 60-90 days for failing to complete community service, pay fines, and report to probation from a February 3, 2014 violation.

•Nichole Lee Lewis was sentenced to 180 days with suspension upon entry into a state probation residential substance abuse treatment program for a May 4, 3013 offense of possession of firearm by convicted felon and multiple dug possession offenses in Baldwin County.

•Joseph Paul Williamson was sentenced to 90 days in the county jail for failing to pay probation fees and testing positive on an urianalysis.

•Willie Lee McGuire was sentenced to 30 days with credit for time served since June 3, 2014 for May 10, 2014 DUI offense in Jasper County.

Also, two temporary protective orders were granted for Elizabeth McWilliams and Bridgette Rogers; divorce hearing scheduled for Daniel Futato, Jr. and Sherry Futato; and one divorce case and one probation were continued.

Judge Wingfield also reviewed the enforcement and establishment of a number of child support cases.
