Early Voting Ends; Runoff Is Tuesday

The runoff election will be held next Tuesday, July 22, and there are only a few contested races.

The only race on the democratic party ballot is that of state school superintendent. Alisha Thomas Morgan and Valarie D. Wilson are vying for that seat.

On the Republican ballot, voters have three choices. The first is for U.S. Senate. Voters must decide between J.H. “Jack” Kingston and David A. Perdue.

For state school superintendent, voters will choose between Michael L. “Mike” Buck and Richard L. Woods.

Lastly, local voters can choose their U.S. Representative. The choices are M.A. “Mike” Collins or Jody B. Hice.

All registered voters are eligible to vote in the runoff. Those who voted in the initial primary must vote the same party ticket in the runoff, otherwise anyone can vote on either ballot.

Early voting ends tomorrow, July 18.
