Mrs. Alberta Tinsley Kelly

A homegoing celebration for Alberta Tinsley Kelly was held Saturday, July 26, at St. James A.M.E. Church in Monticello. Rev. Dona M. Calix, pastor, officiated; burial was in New Community Cemetery.

Mrs. Kelly was born June 18, 1947, to the late Charlie and Jessie Tinsley. She was the sixth of seven children.

Alberta attended school in Jasper County; the graduating class of 1965. She committed her life to Jesus Christ at an early age. She was a member of St. James A.M.E. Church.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Kelly was preceded in death by her husband, Sammy Kelly, Jr., her parents, and a sister-in-law, Lillie Tinsley.

Survivors include two daughters, Gladys Farley of Conyers and Clarissa Kelly of Macon; two sons, Walter Farley of Kansas City, Mo., and Christopher Kelly of Columbus; four brothers, Charlie Tinsley, Jr., of Austell; Marshall Tinsley, Willie Tinsley, and David Tinsley, Sr., all of Monticello; two sisters, Ruthie Richards and Martha (Rufus) White of Monticello; a brother and sister-in-law, Oscar and Phyllis Parks of Chattanooga, TN; four grandchildren, Joel Farley, Brandon Kelly, Skyler Farley and Jacori Woodford; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends, an special, dear friends, Pauline Braswell, Emily Digby, Shanelle Conner and Nyokia Barnes who you were bound to find her with.

Smith & Sons Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
