Blake Hammock

Blake Hammock, age 21, of Jonesboro, GA died Wednesday, August 13, 2014.

He was born in Atlanta, GA to Jamie and Emily Hammock. He enjoyed being outdoors. Blake loved all sports especially football, baseball, golf and fishing. He graduated from Piedmont Academy in 2011, and was beginning his senior year at Valdosta State University.

He will be remembered for his recognizable grin and adoring laugh. Blake was a positive, motivational young man. One quote that he posted from October 4, 2012 on Facebook: “Life’s about takin shots! You make 0% of the shots you DON’T take! So take a shot and give yourself a chance.”

Blake is survived by his parents Jamie and Emily Hammock; brothers,

Cameron Bailey Hammock, Carson Andrew Hammock; grandparents, Wayne and Shayne Hammock; great-grandmother, Drussilla Maddox; several aunts, uncles, cousins; girlfriend, Morgan Carr, and many friends.

Memorial services will be held at Eagles Landing Christian Academy on Saturday, August 16, 2014 at 4 p.m. with Rev. Larry Hammock officiating. The family will receive friends Friday, August 15, 2014 from 6-9 p.m. at the funeral home.
