Janice Mann Chadwick
Janice Rosa Justus Mann Chadwick, age 67, of Shady Dale, died Monday, August 25, 2014, at Jasper Memorial Hospital.
Janice Mann Chadwick was born in Grundy, Va. to the late Clark Justus and Audrey Sue Mullins Justus. She lived in Douglasville, for a few years before moving to Monticello in 1989. She was a member of Providence Baptist Church in Shady Dale. Janice loved to cook big meals for her family; she loved to decorate and cook for the holidays, especially for Christmas and made everything personal and special.
Janice and her late husband, Jerry Gordon Mann, spent many years working as missionaries for the Missions of Hope organization in Haiti. She was a licensed practical nurse, and used her skills in her ministry. She helped in orphanages, fed the homeless, helped create schools, and ministered to the local people.
Janice was a very generous and loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, and taught the true meaning of family.
Along with her parents and husband, Janice was preceded in death by her sisters and brother, Shirley Harris, Judy Justus, June Mann, and Randy Justus.
She is survived by her husband, Clifford Paul Chadwick of Shady Dale; children, Charles Whitt of Flint, Mich., Ryan Mann of Virginia Beach, Va., Jeremy Mann of Monticello, Deborah Miloian of Michigan, Kristine Miller of Chesapeake, Va., and Dori Strock of Monticello; grandchildren, Heather Burns, Eric Miloian, Brittany Miloian, Adam Miloian, Erica Miller, Rachel Miller, Christopher Mann, Tyler Mann, Hannah Wood, Nathanael Mann, Sarah Mann, and Evan Whitt; and great-grandchildren, Vance Bishop, Logan Dunlap, and Henry Burns.
Funeral services will be held at Saturday, August 30, 2014, at 11 a.m. at Trinity Praise Center in Mansfield. Interment will be held in Trinity Praise Center cemetery. Rev. Ed Westbrook will officiate.
Serving as pallbearers will be Tom Satterley, Keith Haddock, Rick Cook, Jose Martinez, Mike Chadwick, and David Bryant.
The family will receive friends Friday, August 29, 2014, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Jordan Funeral Home.
The family suggests in lieu of flowers donations be made to the Providence Baptist Church Building Fund, P. O. Box 15, Shady Dale, Ga., 31085.
