Burglaries Are Reported
A resident in Turtle Cove reported a burglary at his home, where several items were taken. Missing from the home were a BB gun, pellet gun, a shotgun, rifle, hunting knives, jewelry, keys and other items.
A burglary was also reported on Clay Road where a tractor battery, miscellaneous tools, and assorted nuts, bolts and screws were taken.
A resident on Bear Creek Marina Road reported several gallons of gasoline missing, and a resident on Bob Cat Trail reported a Gramin GPS system missing from his unlocked pick-up truck.
Persons booked into the Jasper County Detention Center in the last week, and their charges, include:

•Gary Leonard Shipman, 57, Monticello—probation violation.
•Marlin Ray Biggar, 77, Eatonton—open container, driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs and failure to maintain lane.
•Rhonda Cherie Randall, 48, Monticello—pedestrian under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
•Veronica Michelle Roach, 34, Monticello—deposit account fraud.
•Ardrecus Rashard Banks, 33, Monticello—probation violation.
•Walter Mead Carter, 62, Monticello—criminal trespass.
•Kenneth Anthony Thurman, 51, Monticello—child support.
•Brently Ryan Cummings, 39, Monticello—battery.
•Gary Lewis Baker, II, 42, Covington—possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug related objects and seat belt violation.
•Jerome Fritz, 45, Miramar, Fla.—reckless driving.
•Angela Lenora Rainwater, 39, Monticello—possession of Schedule II drugs, possession of drug related objects and drugs to be kept in original container.
•Jerry Henry Brown, 32, Mansfield—probation violation.
•Caz Eugene Alban, 46, Monticello—probation violation.
•Romaine Ricardo Seay, 32, Monticello—simple battery.
Also during the past week, Jasper County deputies responded to 358 calls for service, including 112 checking location, 83 stopping suspicious person or vehicle, 20 subject needs officer, 10 accidents and 10 alarms, nine mechanical breakdown, eight each assist motorist and escort or convoy, seven each trouble unknown and music/noise complaint, six each vandalism, argument, and pick-up prisoner/subject; five each attempt to serve warrant and VIN verification, and numerous other calls.
