Several Burglaries Are Reported
Deputies with the Jasper County Sheriff’s Office responded to numerous burglary calls in the last week.
Many items, including jewelry and important papers, were taken from a home with a Shady Dale address.
Several medicines were taken from a vehicle on West Washington Street over a period of two days.
Another resident with a Shady Dale address reported an antique gun, a computer and other items were taken from his home.
A cell phone was reported taken from Jasper County Primary School, and a single beer was taken from the Circle K Store.
A resident in rural Monticello reported a gun stolen sometime this month.
Another resident, south of the city, also reported items being stolen. There was also a burglary investigated in the city of Monticello.
Persons who were booked into the Jasper County Detention Center in the last week, and their charges, include:
•Nicole Michelle Driskell, 37, Monticello—giving false name or address to law enforcement officer.
•Brooke Danielle Milford, 31, Covington—child support.
•Craig Alan Koenen, 56, Webster, Fla.—driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs and failure to maintain lane.
•Allen Wayne Taylor, 30, Monticello—reckless driving and speeding.
•Timothy Daniel Christian, 23, Loganville—possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
•Michael Eugene Couch, 39, Covington—probation violation.
•John Michael Johnson, 50, Mansfield—duty upon striking unattended vehicle, driving while license suspended or revoked and Jasper County Probate Court bench warrant.
•Thadeus Oneil Norris, 37, Covington—open container and hold for warrant at Porterdale Police Department.
•Jerrod Farris, 27, Huntsville, Ala.—probation violation.
