Search Warrant, Domestic Call Result in Arrests

Officers with the Jasper County Sheriff’s Office Tactical Squad executed a search warrant at 92 Stroz Drive in Pennor Hills last Friday, and arrested Ellis Demonte Ammons and Deandrea Yvette Jackson on various charges.
The warrant was obtained after months of investigation, according to the sheriff’s office.
Mr. Ammons is charged with sale of cocaine (three counts), possession of cocaine, possession of cocaine with intent to distribute, use of a firearm by convicted felon during the commission of a crime, possession of marijuana less than one ounce, and probation violation.
Ms. Jackson was charged with possession of cocaine, possession of cocaine with intent to distribute, possession of marijuana less than 1an ounce and possession of a controlled substance.
Cash, an automobile, and a handgun were seized from the home on Stroz Drive North.
One incident investigated by officers involved a domestic call on Hwy. 212 east on November 11. After several hours of investigation, an amount of suspected methamphetamine was located. A stolen Penske rental truck and a stolen Kawasaki motorcycle were also recovered from the location. Charles T. Fehil was arrested after a foot chase and physical altercation with deputies. Mr. Fehil was also wanted on felony charges in five other states. Here, he is charged with obstruction of an officer, theft by receiving stolen property (two counts), escape and possession of methamphetamine.
In relation to this same incident, Ayla Roseboom was arrested the next day during a follow-up investigation when she was found to be driving a stolen F-250 4×4 diesel truck. Ms. Roseboom, 27, is charged with theft by receiving stolen property.
Deputies also investigated the report of a theft on Benton Street in Monticello. Items that were reported as missing included a television, guns, and cash.

Another theft was reported at a hunting camp, this one on Benton Road. Reported taken were gas cans and a marine battery.
Several other incidents were also investigated. Additional persons booked into the Jasper County Detention Center in the last week include:

•David Wayne Billings, 53, Monticello— driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs and failure to maintain lane.
•Steven James Harp, 36, Union Point—probation violation.
•David Wayne Walker, 48, Monticello—theft by taking.
•Jennifer Gayle Lewis, 35, Monticello—child support.
•Mini Aspasia Adams, 22, Monroe—purchase/possession/manufacture or sale of marijuana, possession of cocaine, drug related objects and passing violation.
•Jerry Wayne East, 60, Jackson—hold for state pickup.
•Andrea Frederica Barkley, 36, Monticello—disorderly conduct.
