Three ‘Canes To Play in All-Star Game

Three Monticello High School senior football athletes have been selected to play for the East Team in the Fourth Annual Georgia Sports Alliance (GSA) All-Star Senior football game set for Saturday, Dec. 20 at 1 p.m. in the Ed DeFore Sports Complex.

Garrison Williams, a 240-pound, 6’1 defensive tackle, Quincy Standifer, a 175-pound, 5’10” running back, and Xavier Gude, a 205 pound, 5’10” corner will represent MHS on the East squad.

The game will feature some 105 high school seniors from around the state. The East has defeated the West each year since the competitions’ inception in 2010. The East team will be coached by Justin Rodgers of Jones County High School and the West will be coached by Bruce Mullen of Northeast High School.

Tickets are $12 at the gate. The complex is located adjacent to Westside High School in Macon.
