This year’s league includes 10 teams ranging from ages 5-12. On January 12 the games begin with a jolt of excitement, with the Lightening falling a bit short to the Suns 30-29. Leading the 9-12 year olds Suns to victory were high scorers Austin Cumbess with 26 points and Grace Kendall with 6.

The next game had the 9-12 year old Warriors playing host to the Flames. The Flames jumped out early and were able to hold off a late push by the Warrior winning 22-15.

Leading the Flames to the win were Austin Link with 12 points but not to be out done by Brian Tatum of the Warriors with 12 of his own.

The last game of the night was a shoot out till the end between the Cavaliers and the Crusaders. The game came down to the buzzer as the Crusaders held off the Cavs for the 14-12 victory. Leading the Crusaders were Jacob and Phillip Carter both with 6 points.

On January 13, the younger 5-8 year olds played two action packed games of their own. The Shepherds played host to the Messengers and pulled out a 16-14 victory. Leading the Shepherds was Katie Carter with 8 points.

Looking for a win of their own, the Kings cruised to the win column over the Angels in the second game of the night 12-4.

The crowd was all set to have fun as they watched the Flames post 26 points over the Cavaliers who struggled on the court this week. Leading the Flames again was Link with 14 points.

The next game included two very evenly matched teams and the winner was decided in the final seconds as the Lightening held off the charging Crusaders, 26-25.

Ending the night of 9-12 action were the Suns who defeated the much improved Warriors 22-12. Leading the Suns was Cumbess with 16 points and the Warriors’ Waylon Lewis had 6 points.
