Several Plea in Superior Court
Several people entered pleas Tuesday in Jasper Superior Court, presided over by Judge Hugh Wingfield, during a review of the trial calendar.
Sentencing was as follows:
•David Tinsley, Jr., sentenced to 15 years, with seven to serve and the balance on probation for guilty pleas to three counts of sale of cocaine, possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute, and tampering with evidence. Fined $2,000.
•Tyson Neal Carnes, sentenced to 10 years, with the first 195 days to be served in jail and the remainder on probation for guilty plea of burglary in the first degree. Fined $1,500.
•Jack Wendell Morris, sentences to three years, with the first 24 hours served in jail and the remainder on probation for guilty pleas to one count of possession of a schedule IV controlled substance and driving under the influence (DUI). Fined $1,500.
•Kirby Grant Weaver, sentenced 12 months, with the first 72 hours in jail and the remainder served on probation for a guilty plea to one count of driving under the influence. Fined $800.
•Tiffany Lynn Kidd, sentenced two years, with first 72 hours to be served in jail and the remainder on probation for guilty pleas on two counts of obstruction of an officer, driving under the influence and endangering a child while DUI. Fined $600.
•Faaruwq Abdullah Muhammad, sentenced to seven years probation for sale of marijuana and sentenced to five years probation for theft by receiving stolen property, driving without a license, and failure to maintain brake lights. Fined $1,750.
•Percy Chadwick Taylor, sentenced to six years probation for guilty pleas to two counts of possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute. Fined $2,000.
•David Michael Stowe, sentenced to five years probation for guilty plea to possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. Fined $700.
•Shawn Richard Griffith, sentenced to three years probation for guilty plea to possession of methamphetamine and improper headlights. Fined $550.
•Angela Lenora Rainwater, sentenced to three years probation for possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug related objects. Fined $1,500.
•Walter Mead Carter, sentenced to 12 months probation for two counts of public drunkenness. Fined $200.
•Levi Marsalis Jordan, sentenced to 12 months probation for underage possession of alcohol. Fined $300.
•David Lee Cargile, sentenced to 12 months probation for pedestrian under the influence of alcohol. Fined $100.
•Samuel Charles Hunter, sentenced to 12 months probation for guilty pleas to obstruction of an officer and public drunkenness. Fined $400.
•Emily Gail Medina, sentenced to 12 months probation for theft by taking. Fined $200.
•Quincy Tirrell Sands, sentenced to 12 months probation for theft by receiving stolen property. Fined $100.
•Steven Kyle Camp, sentenced to 12 months probation for nolo plea to underage possession of alcohol and guilty plea to tail light violation. Fined $350.
