CGEMC Has Lowest Rates
Members of Central Georgia Electric Membership Corporation (CGEMC) can again be delighted with their electrical rates.
The most recently released Georgia Public Service Commission (PSC) Winter 2015 Residential Rate Survey shows a CGEMC member who uses 2,000 kWh per month would pay $49.64 less than a Georgia Power customer and $61.47 less than the average electricity user in the state.
For the third year in a row, CGEMC is the lowest cost electric provider in Georgia for the winter rate survey at the 2,000 kWh and 1,500 kWh levels.
“Central Georgia EMC continues to provide the lowest rates among the 94 electric providers throughout the state,” stated President George L. Weaver. “Central Georgia EMC’s board, staff, and employees continue to make sound business decisions and provide a low cost service to our members.”
In addition to having some of the lowest rates in the state, CGEMC received an overall customer satisfaction score of 9.05 out of a possible 10 in the most recent customer satisfaction survey conducted in the fourth quarter of 2014.
In the survey, CGEMC scored highest in providing reliable service, having competent and knowledgeable employees, and being committed to the community.
