Several Are Arrested
Deputies with the Jasper County Sheriff’s Office (JCSO) investigated numerous complaints over the last week, including several reports of burglary, terroristic threats, and financial transaction card fraud. As is common, in many cases, but not all, the victim knew the alleged perpetrator.
Persons booked into the Jasper County Detention Center in the last week include:
•Durell Deonta Thomas, 29, Monticello—aggravated stalking.
•Melissa Mechelle Lisvey, 32, Monticello—driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, driving while license suspended or revoked and probation violation.
•Malcom Jamal Smith, 24, Monticello—possession of marijuana less than an ounce, littering, obstruction of a law enforcement officer and probation violation.
•William David Medlock, 56, Monticello: driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, open container and violation of move over law.
•Alvin Donald Taylor, 61, Monticello—theft by receiving stolen property, operating a chop shop and possession of methamphetamine.
•Amanda Lynn Herring, 33, Conyers—hold for warrant in Rockdale County.
