SCA Knights Are Honored

Shiloh Christian Academy (SCA) recently completed its fifth basketball season competing in the GICAA.

Shiloh is the smallest school in the GICAA and has earned two berths to the state playoffs consecutively under basketball coach Johnny Raines’ leadership.

Three players were selected as All-Region players—Trent Raines, David Sorrells and R.J. Whitlock. Two players, Emmaual Lee (left) and David Sorrells (right) were selected to the Senior All-Star Game at Truett McConnell College in Cleveland. Their team won, and both of them played more than half the game and contributed greatly to the win.

Sorrells and Whitlock were selected for the GICAA All-State team as well. These two young men have played together all five years of the Shiloh Knights history.

Shiloh Christian Academy is located at 9595 Hwy. 142 Newborn. For the past two years the athletic programs has been under the leadership of Rev. Ryan Wyatt. He has a vision to add extra sports as the school grows. This year shotgun and cheerleading was added. The plans are to add volleyball next season
