Ms. Bertha Mae Dunn-Montford

A celebration of life for Mrs. Bertha Mae Dunn-Montfort, who died April 5, 2015, was held April 9 at Springfield Missionary Baptist Church. Rev. Jimmy Horton, pastor, officiated; burial was in South View Cemetery.

Bertha Mae Dunn was born on November 26, 1942 in Putnam County, to the late Willie Lee Dunn and the late Clifford Mae Smith Dunn. She died April 5, 2015 in Forsyth.

Bertha Mae was preceded in death by a brother, Willie Horace, and a sister, Geraldine Dunn.

She attended Springfield Baptist Church. She received her early education from Jasper County Training School. Bertha Mae was once married to Elger Montfort. She was employed by Hercules Corporation in Covington.

Bertha Mae was a kind and loving person with a passion for fishing. She loved spending time with her six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Here memory will be cherished by her three children whom she loved and cared for unconditionally: Richard Grier (Debbie), Kenneth Grier (Rozlyn), and Harry Lee Maddox, other cousins, relatives and friends.
