COLLEGE FOOTBALL PLAYERS

Quincy Standifer, Lane Thomas and Garrison Williams (seated, left to right) have been recruited to play football for Reinhardt College which is located in Waleska, in north Georgia.

The young men, who graduate from Jasper County High School this Saturday will join A.J. Thomas who is a local graduate playing football there now. Tommy Scott (left) came from Reinhardt to meet with the young men Monday.

Also present for the celebration were family members of the young men and high school coaches and Superintendent Mike Newton. Behind Quincy his is brother, Quinton, his mother, Jeannette, and his father, Bryan. Behind Lane is his mother, Julie, and his dad, Al Thomas. Behind Garrison is his aunt, Shelia Pounds and his brother, Gavin Williams. Assistant principal Buddy Cain and football coach Doug Huff were also present for the induction ceremony held in the media center at the high school. Dr. Newton praised the students saying he knows they will represent us well, and thanked the parents and coaches.
