Search Warrants Result in Drug Arrests

The Jasper County Sheriff’s Office executed two search warrants last Thursday, May 21.

The locations of 78 Five Points Street and 4800 Hwy 11 South were both the targets of an ongoing drug investigation.

At the Five Points location, Connie Smith and Andre Smith were arrested and both were charged with possession with intent to distribute marijuana, possession with intent-cocaine, possession with intent-methamphetamine, theft by receiving stolen property, and possession of an article with an altered identification.

Andre Johntonio Smith was also charged with two counts of sale of marijuana and one count of sale of cocaine. Connie Smith has one count of sale of marijuana. Donna Kay Hudgins was also arrested from that location and charged with misdemeanor possession of marijuana.

At the Hwy. 11 location, Justin Bostic was arrested and charged with three counts of sale of cocaine, possession with intent-marijuana and possession with intent-cocaine.

In addition, officers in the Sheriff’s Office responded to several calls of burglary, theft, and shoplifting in the past week.

One resident in Monticello reported the theft of a handgun. Shoplifting was reported at both Ingles and Circle K. A boat was reported missing from an address on Lakeshore Drive on Jackson Lake, and a motorcycle was reported stolen from the Bear Creek area. Currency was reported stolen from an address on Hwy. 212 west in Monticello, and ramps and air hoses were reported taken from an address in Newborn.

Deputies also responded to a report of land being damaged by a timber company.

The Sheriff’s Office is also pleased to report that there were no traffic fatalities over the holiday weekend in Jasper County.

•Kenneth Anthony Thurman, 52, Monticello—public drunkenness.

•Carlos Oneal Norris, 38, Locust Grove—driving while license suspended or revoked.

•Mark David Ray, 29, Monticello—driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, laying drag, possession of drug related objects and possession of cocaine.

•Charles Justin Grier, 23, Monticello—possession of cocaine and possession of marijuana less than an ounce.

•Clint Ledwayne Jackson, 50, Monticello—theft by shoplifting.

•Kelly Denise Walker, 40, Monticello—driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, duty of driver to stop or return to scene of accident, and Jasper County Superior Court Bench warrant for failure to appear.

•Spencer Chase Fidler, 25, Conyers: operation of vehicle without current plates, driving while license suspended or revoked, driving while unlicensed or expired license and use of license plate to misrepresent identity of vehicle.

•Chastity Paige Knight, 21, Covington—theft by taking and simple battery.

•Roman Brady Lambert, 21, McDonough—simple battery and criminal trespass.

•James Dean Kirby, 35, Newborn—simple battery; obstruction of an officer; cruelty to children third degree and child support.

•Christina Joy Trent, 34, Monticello—pedestrian under the influence of alcohol.

•Frances Allyson Arnold, 43, Monticello—theft by taking; theft by receiving; possession of marijuana less than an ounce; tire violation, alteration of license plates; operation of vehicle without current plate; driving while license suspended or revoked; drugs not in original container; crossing guard line with drugs; and possession of a controlled substance.

•Kiersten Renee Dorden, 22, Athens—possession of marijuana less than an ounce and failure to maintain lane.

•Ryan Matthew Berkowitz, 25, Athens—possession of marijuana less than an ounce.

•Edward Charles Johnson, 32, Shady Dale—cruelty to children in the third degree and battery.

•Joshua Smith, 20, Monroe—pedestrian under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

•Tiffany Marie Robinson, 20, Loganville—driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs and open container of alcohol.

•Nathan Cole Piper, 17, Covington possession of alcohol by a minor and pedestrian under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

•Anthony Clay Ricks, 20, Conyers—possession of marijuana less than an ounce.

•Harold Gene Rivers, 46, Monticello—criminal damage to property; driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs and battery.

•Joseph Eugene Davis, 60, Conyers—driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs and failure to maintain lane.

•James Randall Cole, 20, Covington—arson (first degree).

•Richard Christopher Moorhouse, 20, Monroe—failure to maintain lane and driving while unlicensed.

•Keidarious Rontrez Foster, 24, Monticello—purchase/possession/manufacture/distribute or sale of marijuana.

•Grant Christopher Gierman, 33, Monticello—public drunkenness and obstruction of law enforcement officers.

•Donavan Jermaine Clemons, 30, Hillsboro—purchase, possession, manufacture, distribution or sale of marijuana.

•Rodriquez Deonta McGuire, 21, Monticello—probation violation.

•Willie Charles Driskell, 50, Monticello—child support.

•Gregory Garnett Robinson, Jr., 23, Monticello—probation violation.
