Town Hall Meeting Set

The Monticello-Jasper County Chamber of Commerce invites the community to join them for an open house, “Our Community – A Town Hall Meeting.”

The open house will be held on Tuesday, June 23 from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. in the Visitors’ Center at 119 West Washington Street. The goal of the Chamber of Commerce is to feature all of the county services provided to us by the Jasper County Commission, as well as from the city of Monticello and town of Shady Dale.

Information booths will be set up in the Visitors’ Center for the public to visit. The service entities in the county will have brochures and someone at their booth to provide information about the service they provide in the county.

From 6 p.m. to 7 p.m., the Jasper County Commissioners, Mayor and City Council, and Mayor and Town Council of Shady Dale have been invited and will be available to answer questions from the public. This town hall meeting will be held in the Council Room in the Visitors’ Center. Jim Dove of the North East Georgia Regional Development Center will be the evening’s facilitator.
