Court Holds Motion Day

Judge William A. Prior, Jr. presided over the motion day calendar held in Jasper Superior Court on Tuesday.

Judge Prior disposed of a light load of criminal cases, probation revocations, child support enforcements and civil cases.

Criminal sentences included:

Romaine Ricardo Seay, sentenced to 12 months of probation for negotiated plea to simple battery, family violence charge. He was also sentenced to another 12 month probation sentence to run consecutive to the prior charge for another simple battery charge offense. Fines totaled $600.

James Dean Kirby, sentenced to 12 months probation for negotiated plea to simple battery, family violence and obstruction of an officer, $400 fine.

Probation revocations included:

Stacy Thrash, sentenced to 180 days jail but suspended upon entry into a probation detention center for 90-120 days for testing positive for THC at the Conyers probation office March 2015.

Lisa McNerney, sentenced to 180 days in jail but suspended upon entry into a probation detention center for 180 days and shall pay restitution of $931 for leaving the state of Georgia without permission.

Kevin Alfred Lamondo, sentenced to 180 days in jail but suspended upon entry into a probation detention center for 60-90 days for positive drug test at the Conyers probation office.

Judi Gail Hays, given 90 days to pay $1,000 or return to court for further action for committing the new offense of battery and cruelty to children in the third degree in Walton County.

Alvin Glenn Yates, sentenced to 90 days in jail for positive drug test at the local probation office in March, May, and June.
